Find and Discover Formspringers Who Share Your Interests

Posted by Martin on December 1st, 2011

When we launched Formspring two years ago, it was all about connecting with friends (and friends of friends). Earlier this year we noticed celebrities and other notable people on Formspring, so we made it easy for you to find them, follow them, and ask them questions. Today, we’re making it simple to find Formspringers who have the same interests as you do with the launch of interest pages.

Here’s how it works: If I announce to my followers that I want questions about Music, then “Music” will show up under the “Wants Questions About” section on my profile page. If I click on the word “Music” I’ll be taken to a page all about Music on Formspring. You can also get to this page by searching for “music” on Formspring.

It features other Formspringers who’ve announced that they want questions about music as well as music-related questions like “What album would you take on a desert island?” and “What do you like to sing in the shower?” You can discover new Formspringer to follow on interest pages, ask music-related questions and respond to questions about your favorite subject — all directly from this page.

We’re launching this feature with the most popular interests on Formspring having their own pages. Don’t worry if something you’re interested in doesn’t have its own page just yet — we plan on adding more and more interest pages over time. Whether you’re interested in something as broad as music or something much more specific, Formspring is now a place where you can go to find and connect with people who share the same interests as you.
